NON-FICTION:

Honk If You Love Me: Ode To My Minivan on Medium, November 2020

My former minivan is the central character in this short story as I reminisce about the role it played in my family's life, and how it killed the MILF vibe when I started dating. The minivan also had a few words to say about the next chapter of its own life.

Missing In India on Wattpad, June 2013

Vancouver law student Ardavan Taherzadeh disappeared 24 years ago on a backpacking trip in India, in the Kullu Valley in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh. Lying on the banks of the glacial river Beas, the town of Kullu is towered by the Himalayas and dotted with apple orchards. Yet evil lurks behind the picturesque setting. During his mother's search she learned that more than a dozen travellers have vanished from the area.

My Wattpad article was cited in the 2022 nonfiction book Lost in the Valley of Death: A Story of Obsession and Danger in the Himalayas by Canadian author and Walrus magazine editor Harley Rustad.

"I was incredibly moved by your words about Our Dear Ard. Thank you."  --an elementary school classmate

"[Ard] obviously had a charm, a quality and an endearing spirit that resonates with other humans. Perhaps that is his legacy." --a Vancouver travel mate

"The Curious Mind and Soul of Ard is alive and well. Although physically he is not present beside us, his presence is continually felt by us. I would never want to have closure for him, why should I? He is my Son, and he is always with me."  --Ardavan's mom, Homa Boustani
