In the fall of 2020, Danyael worked with a Calgary family on the memoir of the Holocaust by their late father Mickey Sander. She added to his manuscript by writing the epilogue detailing Mickey's life post-liberation in April 1949 until his passing in 2010. Fourteen-year-old Mickey's story is accentuated by the addition of historical documents, photographs, and a family tree. Shalom, Tateh was printed in August 2021.
